Differences between treatments were tested by a three-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) using soil type, topsoil dilution and N fertilizer form as factors. For comparison within each factor, a one-way ANOVA was computed. Significant differences indicated by the ANOVA were checked by an LSD (Least significant distance) test for three-way comparison. Level of significance was set to p 0.05. Visual analysis was performed to ensure normal distribution and variance homogeneity of residuals.
