Particular attention is also paid to arable peat soils as well as deep and sand mixed crops. The method has been published in DIN 19706:2013 and included in the method documentation of the ad hoc working group Soil. For the application to soil maps, the procedure has been adapted by the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR). The map shows the erosion hazard for arable soils in Germany on the basis of the use-differentiated soil overview map on a scale of 1:1,000,000 as well as the average annual wind speed at 10 meters altitude for the climate period 1980-2000 (DWD). In principle, however, only in the case of arable land use and low land cover by the crop can an actual risk be assumed. The service contains five layers. In the coverage \u201eRisk levels wind erosion\u201c the agricultural areas are classified in a spatial resolution of 2x2 meters according to their potential wind erosion risk based on the methods DIN19706 (https://dx.doi.org/10.31030/1934215) and Funk et al. 2023 (https://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.aeolia.2023.100878). Gem\u00e4\u00df der INSPIRE-Datenspezifikation Soil (D2.8.III.3_v3.0) liegen die Inhalte der Bodenkarte INSPIRE-konform vor. It provides an overview of the spatial distribution of the potential soil erosion risk as well as soil loss caused by wind and water on agricultural land in Brandenburg. The service contains five layers. In the layer \u201eRisk levels wind erosion\u201c the agricultural areas are classified in a spatial resolution of 2x2 meters according to their potential wind erosion risk based on the methods DIN19706 (https://dx.doi.org/10.31030/1934215) and Funk et al. 2023 (https://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.aeolia.2023.100878). In the layer \u201eSoil loss (t/ha/a) water erosion (RxKxS)\u201c the potential soil loss caused by water derived from the erosion factors R, K and S according to DIN19708 (https://dx.doi.org/10.31030/2676773) is presented in a spatial resolution of 5x5 meters. The potential soil erosion risk reflects the erosion of bare soil under natural environmetal conditions, i.e. without taking into account cultivation methods such as tillage, soil cover and crop rotation. The content of the soil map is compliant to the INSPIRE data specification for the annex theme Soil (D2.8.III.3_v3.0).
